EVENT - SFU Keynote Speak Series: HIV as a Chronic Inflammatory Disease

Dr. Julio Montaner, President of the Internation AIDS Society, will be a special guest this Friday to talk about the recent advancements in treatments. This could be very interesting if you're into Health Sciences or Molecular/Cellular biology, or the cultural impacts of the disease.

CAMPUS - SFU currently lacking any sort of grocery store on campus

The only grocery store on campus (the corner store at the far end of the Cornerstone building) has closed down and today is just an empty unit. As some of you may know, the fastest way to get groceries is a 20 bus ride down the mountain to Safeway, a major inconvenience. A shot of the empty grocery store will be great for this story, perhaps an HDR?

REZ NEWS - SFU Residence and Housing looking at privatization.

The university can't afford to fix up the residences, so it's a possibility that they may end up in the hands of a private company. There is a huge potential for higher rent in rez if this were to happen. This is a good chance to flex your creative muscle and put together a photo illustration! I'm sure many of you who currently live in rez have your own opinion on the matter, so this is where you can express it! Let me know if you have any ideas and we can work on it together!

Libertarianism

I didn't know what libertarianism is so I looked it up. Basically its the philosophy of people who want to be completely free from any sort of laws or rules. (ie people running around naked in tin foil hats singing at the top of their lungs) Now there's a photo idea.
