This week's POTW comes from Sarah Davidson, who snapped her vivid photo of a rust-encrusted car while on a trip in Turkey, "puttering around the Aegean Coast". I'll let you read the photographer's own commentary here.
"Some friends and I had a rental car and were puttering around the Aegean coast. This photo is from a sort of between-the-cities kind of place; it's just you, a dirt road, the ocean, and mountains. And the odd ancient castle long since abandoned on the landscape. It was all so magical. I saw this rusty old car sinking into the ground, composting itself in a toxic, modern kind of way. It seemed like such a lovely contrast to the nature and history, and in its own way, was just as beautiful."
This photo was made with:
Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi
Lens: 18-55mm
Aperture: f/10
Focal length: 35mm
Shutter speed: 1/160
ISO: 200
Beautiful capture, Sarah!
